Clarity (News - Alert) Connect, a server-based contact center solution from Clarity Consulting built native to Lync, has now achieved Microsoft’s Lync ISV qualification.

Clarity Connect acts as an additional Lync server role for contact centers. The contact center solution adds full functionality with a simple, fixed fee per user. The solution includes features such as ACD, IVR, call recording, screen pops, IM, Web chat, a visual IVR editor, a self-service installer, and robust reporting and analytics.

Lync is Microsoft's (News - Alert) enterprise-ready unified communications platform, designed to provide a single consistent client experience for presence, instant messaging, voice and video. Lync enables rich communication with hundreds of millions of people around the world, whether they’re other Lync users or Skype (News - Alert) users.

The ISV qualification for Clarity Connect serves as another testament to the quality of the company’s product, and the value it delivers to organizations looking to add native contact center functionality to Lync, said Jon Rauschenberger, CTO at Clarity Consulting.

“By natively adding functionality to the Lync platform, Clarity Connect helps reduce the cost and complexity associated with deploying customer care solutions and maximizes the value of Lync for customers,” said Jon Morrow, senior program manager for Lync.

The Lync ISV certification is given to products that meet rigorous and extensive testing requirements and conform to the specifications and test plans receive qualification. The program helps ensure that qualified applications meet customer expectations.

With Clarity Connect, Clarity, a Microsoft partner, extends the Lync software platform in order to meet an expanding variety of business and communication needs, the company said. The solution can be deployed for operations ranging in size from small call centers to large and complex enterprise contact centers with geographically dispersed operations.

“Clarity Connect has always been an enterprise-class Lync solution,” said Rauschenberger. “This ISV qualification serves as another testament to the quality of our product and the value we are able to bring to organizations looking to add native contact center functionality to Lync.”

“Clarity Connect takes full advantage of the Lync APIs in order to seamlessly integrate a robust set of contact center features into Lync,” he added. “As companies move to Microsoft Lync as their voice platform, they are looking for ways to maximize their investment and reduce redundant systems. Clarity Connect offers a very compelling solution to achieve both goals.”
