Snom UC Edition Portfolio of Desktop Phones Now Compatible with Microsoft Lync Server 2013

snom technology AG (News - Alert) has said that its UC Edition IP business phones are now qualified by Microsoft (News - Alert) as fully interoperable with Microsoft Lync Server 2013.

snom 7xx series, including the snom 760, 720 and 710 IP phones – which are now qualified for Microsoft Lync – offer businesses three models of affordable, full-featured IP phones. The snom 760 UC edition desktop phone is touted as being at “executive level,” and is designed for the corner office. The snom 720 UC edition IP phone is specifically designed for the “middle manager or information-driven knowledge worker.”

Above all, the new snom 710 UC edition phone is reportedly an ideal entry-level phone for the standard workforce.

snom’s UC phones are officially described as the industry’s first and largest family of SIP endpoints to earn “Qualified for Microsoft Lync” status – the top designation for full interoperability and integration of standards-based desktop phones in Lync deployment environments.

Users of Lync Server 2013 and snom UC Edition phones can now take advantage of voice use for desktop communications, and enjoy a full range of traditional IP PBX (News - Alert) and Lync collaboration features, including: Boss/Admin, Music on Hold, Call Park and integrated presence buttons.

snom endpoints also support new voice features and functionality introduced in Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Enterprise Voice, including improved configuration options for call forwarding and simultaneous ringing.

snom will demonstrate its expanded lineup of standards-based endpoints – including its new, award-winning 7xx series – at the sold-out Lync Conference 2013 in San Diego.
